Terms & Conditions for your booking

Below you will find Terms & Conditions for booking Hotel Rooms, Rooms in Rødstua, Lygnahytta (The Lygna Cabin) and Lygnasæter Camping.

For Hotel Rooms and Rooms in Rødstua:

  • The person making the booking: 
    The person making the booking must be 18 years of age when the booking is made, and someone in the party must be over the age of 18 during the stay.
  • Check-in: 
    15.00-21.00 on the day of arrival. Contact us if you arrive earlier or later, and we will find a solution.
  • Check-out: 
    11.00 on the day of departure. You can store your luggage at the hotel for longer if you have anything planned for the day.
  • Payment: 
    The stay, with any pre-booked extras, is paid in full upon check-in – unless otherwise agreed. If something has been added to the room during your stay, this will be paid for during check-out. We accept payment by debit card/credit card and cash. Invoices are only offered to commercial customers in Norway and larger groups. Reach out if you are a company outside of Norway and need a different payment type.
  • Cancellation:
    Cancellation can be made free of charge before 16.00 – 2 days before the arrival date. In the event of cancellation after this/no-show by 21.00, the room will be canceled, and you will be charged for the first night and any extras that were for the arrival day and the following day.
  • Pets: 
    We have some separate rooms in Rødstua available for guests with four-legged companions. Dogs and other animals are NOT allowed inside the main hotel building.
  • House rules: 
    As a guest staying with us, you are required to comply with the current house rules, which aim to ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests.
  • Liability in case of damage: 
    If you, someone in the booking, or guests of yours, for one reason or another, should find yourself damaging the building and/or furnishings due to irresponsible behavior, you are responsible for the damage and must pay for any repairs, washing, and the like in order to restore it to its original state.
  • Groups: 
    Separate terms & conditions apply to larger group bookings. Contact us by e-mail for offers and terms & conditions.

For Lygnahytta (The Lygna Cabin):

  • The person making the booking: 
    The person making the booking must be 25 years of age when the booking is made, and someone in the party must be over the age of 25 during the stay.
  • Check-in: 
    15.00-21.00 on the day of arrival in the reception of Lygnasæter Hotell. Contact us if you arrive earlier or later, and we will find a solution.
  • Check-out: 
    11.00 on the day of departure. You can store your luggage at the hotel for longer if you have anything planned for the day.
  • Payment: 
    You will receive an invoice for the entire stay by e-mail within 1 week of the booking being confirmed – this must be paid in full within 10 days. If this is not done, the booking will be canceled. If the arrival date for the booking is within the next 14 days, an invoice will be sent as soon as possible, which must be paid at least two days before arrival. Other arrangements can be agreed in advance.
  • Cancellation:
    In the event of cancellation, this must be done by e-mail or phone. Below is how much you will get refunded depending on the time of the cancelation:
    • More than 4 weeks ahead – 100%
    • 4-2 weeks ahead – 50%
    • Less than 2 weeks ahead – 0%
  • Pets: 
    Dogs and other animals are NOT allowed inside the cabin. We have some separate rooms in Rødstua available for guests with four-legged companions.
  • House rules:

For Lygnasæter Camping:

  • The person making the booking: 
    The person making the booking must be 18 years of age when the booking is made, and someone in the party must be over the age of 18 during the stay.
  • Check-in: 
    15.00-21.00 on the day of arrival in the reception of Lygnasæter Hotell. Contact us if you arrive earlier or later, and we will find a solution.
  • Check-out: 
    11.00 on the day of departure. Check-out is done in the reception of Lygnasæter Hotell.
  • Payment: 
    The stay, with all possible extras and deposits for the key to electricity and key fobs, is paid in full upon check-in. A meter reading of the electricity is done at departure, and the number of showers is checked. This is offset against the deposit paid, and any balance is refunded in cash. If you have showered/used electricity for more than the deposit, this difference must be paid at check-out. Price per kWh will vary according to season and will be informed at check-in. We accept payment by debit card/credit card or cash. Invoices are only offered to Norwegian commercial customers and larger groups. Reach out if you are a company outside of Norway and need a different payment type.
  • Cancellation:
