General terms
Apply to all accommodation bookings at Lygnasæter, in addition to the terms for each accommodation type above.
The booking and the agreement
When you submit a booking, it is a request until it has been confirmed by us by email. A confirmed booking is binding for both parties, and by booking you accept these terms.
Prices
All prices are stated in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and include VAT. The price in your booking confirmation is the price that applies to your stay.
Pricing errors
We reserve the right to correct obvious typing and technical errors in prices and descriptions, both on our websites and in the booking system. If we discover an obvious error in a booking, we will contact you as soon as possible. You can then choose to keep the booking at the correct price or cancel free of charge.
Right of withdrawal
The purchase of accommodation is exempt from the right of withdrawal, cf. section 22 (m) of the Norwegian Cancellation Act (angrerettloven), which applies to accommodation services to be provided on a specific date or within a specific period. Cancellation is instead governed by the cancellation rules for each accommodation type above.
Complaints
Is something not as it should be during your stay? Please tell us right away – most things are best resolved while you are here.
If you wish to make a complaint after your stay, please send a written complaint to lygna@lygna.no without undue delay after departure. If we cannot reach an agreement, you can as a consumer take the matter further to the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet).
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to fulfil, or delayed fulfilment of, the agreement if this is due to extraordinary events beyond the parties’ control – such as fire, flooding, natural disasters, strikes, lockouts, acts of war, terrorism, pandemics or orders from public authorities – which could not reasonably have been foreseen or avoided. In such cases, we will contact you to find a solution, such as moving the stay or issuing a refund.
Guests’ belongings
Storage of luggage and belongings is at your own risk, beyond what follows from mandatory law. We recommend that you do not leave valuables visible in your room, in the cabin, in your caravan or in your car. We take care of lost property – please contact us and we will help you.
Privacy
We process your personal data in order to administer your booking and your stay. Read more in our privacy policy.
Governing law and disputes
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes will be sought resolved amicably – as a consumer, you can also contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for guidance and mediation.
